Home Groups

Meeting together on a Sunday provides some communal time but there is limited scope for sharing together and hearing from each other. Everyone at TBCC is encouraged to be in or associated with a Home Group a smaller group that meets in a home during the week. It is here that we grow in our relationship with one another and with Christ. There are different styles of Home Groups, we can help you find a suitable one.

Sunday Services

The main event for the week is the Family Service at 10am on Sunday morning. It aims for an hour and a quarter long time of sharing music (modern and traditional), communion, and a time of biblical focussed teaching. Morning tea is served afterwards and semi-regular light lunches are shared to allow for fellowship together.

TBCC is also heavily involved in running a service at Johnsonvale Retirement home on a Sunday afternoon.

Sunday evenings are the domain of a Communion Service and also the occasional Combined Churches of Titahi Bay service.

Children and Youth

TBCC have employed a church worker with a focus on Children and Youth in a part-time capacity for much of the last 20 years. At the moment we have classes on a Sunday morning that span preschool through to college. During the weekends there are regular activities organised for Intermediate (Pepper) and College (Salt) age kids. Details can be seen on the Youth Facebook page.

Our members also run the SU SupaKidz programme at the local Titahi Bay School during the week which is well attended.

Reaching Out

As the name suggests TBCC is a community church and we desire to be a valuable part of the community. Our building is used by many community groups during the week and often hosts social events during the weekends. We are involved all over the Wellington area. Some of the other things that the church are regularly involved with are:

  • Arohata Prison
  • Johnsonvale Home for the Elderly
  • SUPAKidz
  • Foodbank
  • Porirua Hospital Chapel Services
  • The Porirua Grand Traverse Fun Run

Mission outreach and interest is a vital part of the church’s life. The church is committed to praying for and financially supporting those working both in NZ and overseas. We currently support people in Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Moscow, South Africa and New Zealand.
